A brief conversation between the two men. Not much is said, but it's a window to another time: the overlap between the industrial age and the modern age, when people can make passing remarks about Hitler's attitude toward the public reception toward science fiction, and "Citizen Kane" needs a gratuitous plug to build awareness of it.
Taking money out of politics is like taking bread out of toast
It seems everyone is talking about that red, white, and blue Obama poster, created by Shepard Fairey, the same guy who's responsible for those Andre the Giant stencils that seemed to be on every lamppost in the country about ten years ago.
And so naturally, someone (specifically, Paste magazine) created an "elf yourself" application that will turn any picture into an Obama-style poster image.
Everything comes out looking like the logo for Major League Baseball.
I hadn't heard of this, but apparently our very own Decatur, Georgia had a moment in the media Sun a few weeks ago when a local kid named Moey dressed up as a voting booth and essentially polled the neighborhood, taking candy in lieu of ballots.
Sometimes it's weird when a parent gets so involved in a child's costume (I'm guessing this wasn't Moey's idea) but the kid seems to be having fun.
